This seminar will enable students to deepen their knowledge of ADR theory, policy, and practice by exposing them to new and cutting edge research, as well as some foundational articles that helped shape the field. It will be organized around 6-8 thought leaders who will present their recently published works or works-in-progress. Students will have the opportunity to engage with each guest speaker in a seminar format and will also be required to attend the speaker's public talk, which will be open to the wider UC Law and Bay Area community. Speaker presentations in Spring 2025 will touch upon the psychology of disputing, international dispute resolution, and empirical studies of mediation and settlement.
