PRACTICAL CIVIL LITIGATION SKILLS: INTAKE TO TRIAL is a, survey course in the practical aspects of civil litigation. The course discusses all stages of civil litigation including inception, case investigation, pleadings, written discovery, depositions, hiring of expert witnesses, case valuation and evaluation, motions and trial. The course provides insights into dealing with clients, insurance companies and supervising attorneys. The class is intended to give students a head start on what it will take to successfully complete assignments given to young lawyers working at a civil litigation firm. Guest, lecturers in medical science, accident reconstruction, judges and other fields will supplement the professor's presentation.
