Description
This course is designed to provide students with the legal tools needed to practice housing law in the public interest. It offers an overview of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to race and gender discrimination,the provision of safe and affordable housing, and tenant/ landlord contract relationships. During the semester, students will have the opportunity to hear from practicing housing attorneys and become familiar with different types of practice: legal services, government attorneys and private practice.
