Description
This course is restricted to MSL students only.
This course will use each the established hallmarks of an effective ethics and compliance program to explore: (1) the expectations of regulators for today's organizations to maintain compliance programs to prevent, detect, and respond to possible violations of law; (2) the specific roles that executives, managers and other professionals undertake within organizations to effectively implement compliance programs; and (3) examples of recent corporate crises and investigations across a diverse set of risk areas and industries, and the impact of the lack of an effective program in the result. While the course will explain the theories and rationale behind compliance programs, it is intended to focus on how to create and run a best-in-class program in today's environment. MSL students who take this MSL class cannot also take Compliance and Risk Management.
