This course deals with the choice-of-law problems that arise when the facts or the parties in a case have contacts with more than one state. The course emphasizes horizontal conflicts, with special emphasis on situations involving torts, contracts, property, and family disputes.

If enrollment is more than 8 students, instructor will administer a graded final group project in lieu of a final exam. Students who register for this class should see the syllabus for details regarding assessment.
