Description
LEGAL RESEARCH AND WRITING I (LRW I) teaches students how to research and write like a lawyer, focusing on predictive legal analysis and writing. Students are given prompts that mimic real-life client facts and legal issues, and are tasked with researching the issues, objectively assessing the clients' chances of success under the law, and writing intra-office memoranda that clearly and precisely explain the law and their reasoning. Through these assignments, students learn to structure their analysis through conventional organizational paradigms and practice citing to state and federal sources using the Bluebook.
